HAPPY HAUNTINGS IN THE HEARTLAND 2011

Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, ghosts and the
stories that "float" behind them are still a source of
fascination.

Let it be a haunted house, an eerie graveyard, or a
crumbling castle; crucifix/bible or evp's/high tech-
gadgets in hand, goosebumps and all, there we go!

Ghosts, the supernatural is rich in history;most civilizations believe in life after death, AND in ghosts.

As frightening as it seems, many dare to peer into the darkness.

And really who hasn't been fascinated with the paranormal? If anything lies beyond this life, the great veil between the worlds, "WE ARE CURIOUS!"

And why are we so curious???

Is it fear? As the day will come when our allotted time is to be done so we want to believe that there "IS" something else, something more.

Could it be possible to contact our dearly departed? OR..return in any form to the world of the living?

When death of the body occurs, does the spirit continue a similar existence but in another realm?

Does the spirit await for an eventual rebirth or resurrection?

These are queries that have plagued mankind since the 1st century and have sent him on a quest to investigate the legends and the destination of the soul.

Ghost stories are the oldest type of supernatural tales. Whether it be macabre depictions, the appearance of an apparition, or some invisible presence "felt" OOOOOoooooie! The thrill of the chill is on!

Paranormal means "something beyond the range of normal human experiences or scientific explanation."

So it is "something that cannot be explained by any known means of force of nature. It carries the suggestion that some divine, demonic, or Higher Power is involved in making the event occur."

Ghosts, poltergeists, haunted houses, possession, mystery lights, Ouija boards, automatic writing, seances and premonitions...

All is the world of the paranormal and the stories that contradict everything that is rational to science. AND I LOVE IT!!!

I too have had my first hand encounters with ghosts.

As a young child something very dark came to me in the light of day at my grandmother's house; her house was said to be "haunted."

Into my teens I felt and heard a presence very nearby thinking it was my grandmother home from church. But "no..." she hadn't arrived yet.

Also as a teen, a dire message from our Ouija board foretelling the murder of our Mayor's daughter in 1970.

After that my cousin & I were too scared and decided to put the board away.
Believe me or not, the damn thing refused!

It kept going to "NO." We both could actually feel the friction as the planchette started to push against the board, until finally, the plastic eye popped out!

Wellllll. That was really it for us. We ran out of the house for dear life leaving the board there on the bed in the basement.

AND to this day some 35 years later, my cousin "still" refuses to go to her basement where we used to talk with "Ouija."

AND--not so long ago when I lived in Arkansas my partner & I, (at the time), had experienced the sound of a flash and out of nowhere mind you, a small blue lightning bolt shape, appeared right before our eyes in the bedroom. For Real!

It even made that electrical static sound and there were no lights on whatsoever; no kind of storm, or bad weather in the area.

Explanation:??? I don't know...Maybe the spooks were giving us a standing ovation. ;}HAHAHA. "What did you think querida?" lol

Seriously though, some I could not explain--others I tryed to explain.
The mysteries of life and the afterlife. A world beyond our understanding, but not beyond our curiosity.

I just know that I do believe and many people do or at least the possibility that ghosts do exist.

The existence of ghosts is linked to the belief in the existence of the soul.
People near death often have visions of deceased friends, relatives.

Also, the soul is very precious to us as it is our connection to a Higher Power.

The Great Universe, GOD, as most cultures believe we are all connected in some cosmic way.

Many cultures celebrate the deceased, the soul, with an annual "Day of the Dead," with festival, parties, feasts.

My forebears festival, "El Dia de los Muertos" is very impressive and celebrated on November 1st & 2nd. Decorations, and bake goods of macabre skeletons and skulls.
At times going to the grave site for the parties for prayers and the meals as offerings.

This is how we honor our dead and as so to calm the dead, allowing them to rest comfortably for another year.

As for HALLOWEEN it started as a Pagan ritual called "Samhain," in the land of the Celtics.
Celebrated on October 31 to mark the end of autumn, a celebration of a plentiful harvest.

Eventually the U.S. made it a holiday to celebrate as a night of costumed trick or treating for candy, carved pumpkins and partying.

Whether it be Halloween, Samhain, when the misty veil between the worlds is thin and I AM ALL ABOUT THIS ITS MY FAVORITE.

Many believe as I do, that the barrier between the worlds of the living & the dead is thinnest on this night.
The spirits of the deceased are able to cross over on their own, good or evil.

So in a few days for me, like many others, it will be a night of haunted houses, graveyards, hayrides, ghoulish thrills, the reading of wills and magic spells.

So if you dare..look into the mirror at 12 midnight October 31 to see who your next "amor" will be.
BUT BEWARE---

WARNING--you may end up with a BITCH! I mean"WITCH." Either way your doomed.

And that can be "The frightening truth!" A fright night FOR THE REALS GUYS! (Actually it could go either way)

BOOOOOOOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN
