SCREAM!!! IT'S ALMOST HALLOWEEN! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHA!!!!!!!!

Halloween is upon us once again. And once again, our fear factor is put the the test: the never ending desire to scare the living daylights out of ourselves.

Looking for haunted houses, movies, graveyards, vanishing people, ghosts, Ouija boards, seances, possession, and exorcism.

Searching for more than just bumps, and thumps in the night; anything AND everything that contradicts the rational.

A time of celebration & superstition, as
we all seem to have a sort of a "rendezvous" with this time of the year, with, "SAMHAIN," (HALLOWEEN).

Traditionally a season of darkness where the veil between the worlds in thin. Making it a secret time..secret meeting  with the spirits of the dead as they cross over on their own.

One mysterious mystery that comes to mind is a haunted cemetery, right here on the outskirts, North of Lansing, Michigan.

Blood Cemetery in Laingsburg, is named after a founding family from this area "The Bloods" and one of their kin, infamous murderer,  Dr. Blood.

The first time I heard of this haunted place was when I was in High School, 1970.

Dr. Blood committed horrendous crimes there, (it is said). On Halloween night his ghost, (it is said), kills anyone who visits the cemetery.   Now  this story is considered an Urban Legend, but because one of my friends'
friend & fiance, actually had a scary event, that eventually ended in an awful conclusion.

And so it made me wonder................?

Four years ago my friends'  friend & fiance decided to go investigate Blood Cemetery as they were very skeptical and curious, (like everyone else), about the events and stories that surrounded this graveyard.

When they drove it was daylight, because she was too scared to go at night.

The cemetery is small, on a country dirt road, very dusty, very desolate.  Approaching, there is a chain link fence, two gates, and small arch entrance.

As they drove making their way into the cemetery,  the front cover, the rim of one of the wheels, suddenly "popped off."

It began rolling &amp and rolling!   It seemed as though it wasn't going to stop, so her fiance got out of the car to go fetch the cover.

As he went to reach for it, the rim did stop rolling but then began to rotate in a circular motion and would NOT stop!  Something akin to a plate if you were to spin it on a table, that sort of motion.

He got scare!!!  Hell... they both got so scared so he left rim, ran to the car, and started driving off.

Just before they got to the arch, the gate, the car stopped dead--And it WOULD NOT START!

Then they really got terrified!!! They panicked!  The two of them sat there in the car hugging one another, crying; and she began to pray.

He then decided to start the car it.  It started! AND they left!!!

A year later he suddenly died. He was only 43.
And she since then hasn't had luck finding another love to fill her void, her life.

That as I said was 4 years ago.

That was a terrible tragedy that could have happened to us as back in High school, many years before.

Like many other "curious cats" a car load of us  headed out the cemetery.   Just before we reached the graveyard the tire blew out. My cousin had to walk to a nearby house and call  his dad to come and help us.

Dan didn't have an spare at the time.

UUUUuuummmmmmmmm......?

Was this "fate" intervening as to come between to prevent or alter a course of an event???  Nevertheless we didn't try to go back and I never did to this day either.

So... is this "Blood Cemetery just a local legend or what?

Whatever the case, I'm not anxious to put my 'Fear Factor' to the test in this graveyard.

Although eventually, death comes riding on it's pale white horse of a fate that awaits us all.

But until then..............I'll keep my curiosity to a minimal, and sticking with the "normal" scares, like this one:

                                                  "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"

NOW  THAT'S SCARY!!!!  AND SCARIER YET.  IT'S RELATED TO ME!!!

BOOOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!  SO SCREAM!  IT'S ALMOST HALLOWEEN!!!

And so it is.~LJS

"Be silent in that solitude
Which is not loneliness, for then
The spirits of the dead who stood
In life before thee are again
In death around thee, and their will
Shadow overshadow thee; be still."

"Is a symbol and a token,--
How it hangs upon the trees,
A mystery of mysteries!"
